Klanten kunnen bij onze opdrachtgever terecht voor het complete traject van smeedstuk, machinale bewerking, inkoopondersteuning, assemblage en kwalificatie- en afnametesten, of elke gewenste combinatie daarvan. Functiebeschrijving Ref. 1013496 Als Project Engineer ga je aan de slag binnen het Project team. Dit team is verantwoordelijk voor de identificatie en uitvoering van diverse projecten in de offshore, energie, aerospace, en petrochemische industrie. Hierbij functioneer je binnen een multidisciplinair team waarbij het leiden van kleinere projecten tot de mogelijkheden behoort. Je ondersteunt de Project Manager bij het maken van calculaties en offertes. Tevens zet je aanvragen bij toeleveranciers uit en beoordeel hun offertes. Ook is er technische ondersteuning van de Project Manager in de communicatie met de klant. Bij orders draag je zorg voor de technische aansturing van de leveranciers. Je schat technische risico's in, verliest kwaliteit niet uit het oog en zorgt voor het aanhouden van de projectplanning en budgetten. Daarnaast is een belangrijke taak het zoeken van alternatieve oplossingen waarna deze geïmplementeerd worden in overleg met de klant. Ook bouw je relaties op met toeleveranciers en ondersteunt in verkoopactiviteiten. The Challenge Together with the marketing team, translate the needs from SABIC customers globally into technical activities to support the application development. Generate conceptual structural designs, helping the customer to achieve much better, cheaper, lighter designs by defining and choosing the right concept. Perform mechanical and processing CAE analysis to enhance customer confidence that these designs will work. Have discussions with customers on material properties. Help the customer with solving issues during part production, processing and testing. Contribute to improving the modelling capability to stay leading in new application development. Department The department Procurement Direct Materials Europe belongs to the Procurement Europe organization that is responsible for leading and executing all regional procurement activities for all SABIC locations and business units across Europe by: - Securing surety of supply for all materials, parts and services - Adding value by leveraging our regional buy and supporting the leveraging of the global buy - Creating competitive advantages for our internal customers (innovation) - Developing & implementing sourcing strategies for European regional categories - Owning an efficient end to end Procurement process including inventory management - Establishing one standard way of working across the Europe, making maximum use of internal and external Best practices. The Challenge A significant part of the raw materials that we buy, we buy from distributors. They could be a valuable partner for small lot size ordering, in case of supply issues and in increasing operational efficiency. In order to be able to play that role we will need to move away from our current more transactional way into a strategic approach of this category. You will be setting up a strategy for distribution by: mapping the internal spend analyzing the external market determing all opportunities for value creation in the chain drafting a distribution category plan Your Profile You are in the last phase of your academic study in the area of business management You have excellent analytical skills, you can switch between conceptual and detailed level You are a good communicator and you have well developed social skills Further Information For more information about this traineeship, please contact Paul Diepen (tel. 06-10939117), Manager Procurement Direct Materials Europe.
