The Challenge Direct customer support on technical processing issues for film and sheet which includes issue resolution, trial, development/implementation of customer specs, technical analysis, claim analysis, and training. Align >70% time to focus grades / focus segments. Key measurements include new target close, customer issue resolution, customer satisfaction, and NPI's enabled. Translate new processing and part testing technologies to customers and to global counterparts. Exchange best practice. Lead documentation and define the tools needed to train customers and field team on the use of our products. Document major initiatives (tech reports, issue resolution, disclosures, etc). Cross functional interactions with technology, prod-mkt, and commercial teams to provide input, clarify customer requirement and commercial team needs, and voice NPI needs. Your Profile Educational Background: Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science. Solid understanding of plastics processing and test methods and demonstrated ability to apply this knowledge to successful application development. Solid understanding of and hands on ability in polymer processing and secondary operations methods such as forming, lamination, printing, welding, machining, extrusion, injection molding, and painting. Demonstrated computer and communication skills. Desired: Advanced degree in above mentioned fields or 5 years of processing/secondary operations experience. Green belt certified.
